Who Is A Real Christian?

YOUR QUESTION: WHO IS A REAL CHRISTIAN?

A real Christian is someone who believes in the Lord Jesus for the forgiveness of his sin and who daily follows Him.

A real Christian believes in Jesus, and thus receives Jesus through faith and becomes a child of God (John 1:12).

A real Christian has repented from his sins and has turned to God (Acts 3:19).

A real Christian loves Jesus more than his father or mother, his son or daughter (Matthew 10:37-38).

A real Christian is ready to give up everything he has to be Jesus’ disciple (Luke 14:33).

A real Christian trusts God without questions, like children trust their parents (Matthew 18:3).

A real Christian denies himself and is willing to suffer to follow Jesus (Mark 8:34).

A real Christian obeys Jesus (Hebrew 5:9).

A real Christian treasures Jesus above everything this world has to offer (Matthew 13:44).

Jesus gives us a sobering warning. He tells us that on the Last Day there will be many who say ‘Lord, Lord’, but will hear from Him ‘I never knew you’ (Matthew 7:21,23). Therefore, whether or not you are a real Christian is the most important question facing you in your life. You have to be sure! The Bible says: “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
